Color Matching – Fargo Printers

Dye Sublimation printers use 3 colors, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan to create the spectrum of colors whereas a computer monitor uses red, green, and blue.

Different printers print different colors and density:

The results you may see when printing are that your colors don’t match what you see in your software.

There are several ways you can attempt to correct this issue. It may take some time, several adjustments, and test printing to get the results you are looking for.

Access your Fargo Printer driver by going to your printers and faxes folder and right clicking on printing preferences.

1. Change the Color Matching in the Driver to Monitor. Print your card to see if it comes out the way you want

2. Change the color matching to the algebraic setting and then click on the image color tab. Adjust each color and test print until you get the color you are looking for.

3. Another option is to modify your original image in Photoshop or similar image manipulation software
