Background: Dye Sublimation printers use 3 colors, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan to create the spectrum of colors whereas a computer monitor uses red, green, and blue.
Different printers print different colors and densities:
The results you may see when printing are that your colors don’t match what you see in your software.
There are few ways you that can attempt to correct this issue. It may take some time, several adjustments, and test printing to get the results you are looking for.
First you must access the printer driver. Go to your printers and faxes folder, right click on your Evolis printer and choose printing preferences.
Click on the advanced settings tab
Adjust the brightness or contrast. Click apply and then click OK
If you are not getting the results with the steps above, change the color management settings in the Properties of the driver.
Windows 7 instructions:
Right click on your Evolis Printer and choose “Printer Properties”
Click on the color Management tab
Click on Color Management
Select your Evolis printer from the drop down menu, click on Use my settings for this device
Then Click the Add.. tab. Select the Evolis Profile and then click Ok.
You will have to modify your artwork in an imaging software like Adobe Photoshop if neither of these options gets the results you are looking for.
If you have a Macintosh choose print and then you will be able to change the luminosity and contrast.
