Color Matching – Fargo DTC4500

Background: Dye Sublimation printers use 3 colors, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan to create the spectrum of colors whereas a computer monitor uses red, green, and blue.

The results you may see when printing are that your colors don’t match what you see in your software.

There are ways you that can attempt to correct this issue. It may take some time, several adjustments, and test printing to get the results you are looking for.

Go to your printers and faxes folder, right click on the Fargo DTC4500 card printer and choose printing preferences

Click on the Image Color tab

Change the color matching from none to System Color Management and print your card

If your colors are still not close to what you are looking for click on the advanced settings button

Adjust the color balances in small increments

Note: Adjusting these settings too much will cause ribbon breaking

You will have to modify your artwork in an imaging software like Adobe Photoshop if these options do not get the results you are looking for
