We recommend that you manually clean your DTC550 printer every time you change your ribbon. Keeping your rollers clean will help prevent card jamming issues.
We recommend using Fargo 82133 cleaning cards
Open the printer cover and remove the ribbon
Insert the 82133 Cleaning cards into the exit area
Use the right arrow button on the printer to transport the cleaning card into the printer. Hold the cleaning card once it is most of the way into the printer. This will apply pressure to the rollers and deep clean them.
Clean the print platen roller (wide roller) thoroughly by holding the cleaning card on the roller while using the left arrow button to advance the roller
