Take these steps to resolve ribbon breaking issues:
- Run a self test
- Update the printer firmware and driver to the latest on the Evolis website
- Run a cleaning cycle
- Run a self adjustment
- Make offset adjustments by using commands
- Ensure the correct ribbon type is set in the driver
- Ensure that you are using an Evolis Power supply
- Try different card stock
- Check to make sure that the ribbon uptake pulley rivet is in place and has not fallen out
