Ribbon Break – Evolis Primacy

Take these steps to resolve ribbon breaking issues:

  1. Run a self test
  2. Update the printer firmware and driver to the latest on the Evolis website
  3. Run a cleaning cycle
  4. Run a self adjustment
  5. Make offset adjustments by using commands
  6. Ensure the correct ribbon type is set in the driver
  7. Ensure that you are using an Evolis Power supply
  8. Try different card stock
  9. Check to make sure that the ribbon uptake pulley rivet is in place and has not fallen out   Primacy Rivet
