Several card image quality issues can occur if a ribbon is not making clean, even contact with the card surface. Ribbon Wrinkle produces repeated lines or waves across the card surface.
Some steps to try to resolve ribbon wrinkle issues.
- Rotate your card stock 180 degrees. If the problem moves to the opposite side, change your card stock.
- Reduce the image darkness or dye sub intensity in your printer driver
- Check the print head resistance value
- Verify that you are using the correct power supply
- If the problem is in the same place, your print head maybe out of alignment.
- Ensure you are using genuine print ribbons
