Things to check if your Fargo DTC400E is squeaking
Note: DTC400E’s are bit noisier than the DTC400 as Fargo changed motors
Check the cleaning roller on the ribbon cartridge. Sometimes the squeaking is caused by the plastic roller spinning on the plastic cartridge. You can remove it and test print to see if it is the cause of the squeaking
Try a different ribbon
Update your printer firmware and driver to the latest on Fargo’s Website
Clean the rollers thoroughly and blow out the printer with compressed air
Make sure that you are using the correct power supply
