A wrong ribbon error is most likely caused by the ribbon type being incorrectly set in the print driver.
Take the following steps to change the ribbon type in your Fargo HDP600 print driver
Go to your printers and faxes folder
Right click on your Fargo HDP600 printer and choose printing preferences
Click on the device options tab
Click on the Ribbon Type drop down menu to select the ribbon type that is installed in the printer
Click apply, then Ok
Try a different ribbon if this does not resolve the issue.
